Is walking a legitimate form of exercise?

Hey fellow Scale Warriors

I have heard conflicting arguments when it comes to walking = exercise. I'm sure it's got to be better than nothing, but I also hear that unless you're breaking a sweat, it's not real exercise. Thoughts?

Hi Overrun. My doctor told me that walking is a good way to exercise...especially if you have a lot of weight to lose and mobility is an issue, and also if you suffer from joint pain. Combined with a good diet, walking can contribute to weight loss and the more you do it the faster you'll get and the farther you'll go. A good pedometer will help you track your progress. Good luck!

Walking is a good way to exercise. You can do regular walking to maintain your fitness. If you want to shed kilos then walking is the best. You can also find out here about the lastique fitness that helps in weight loss. Make sure to eat healthy and balanced meals to stay healthy.
